I would give this book 5 stars for it's ability to hold the reader's interest. It started out very unsettling that the 4 year old Billie was present while her brilliant father had his "so called" accident but she was too young to remember anything. Then some 30 years later she comes back home to investigate & finds out some "ugly" half truths to the story from her relatives & father's friends & almost got herself killed for trying. If it wasn't for the kind professor helping her out the whole thing would of been swept under the carpet completely. But sadly justice was not served & those town's people involved got away "with murder" after all. Great book!
