I love how symbolic and figurative the themes and title is, while still offering a different kind of horror.

I'll just make this simple. I just finished it and I said to myself, "Wow! I never thought that it will leave me with strong impact and strong emotions, but it did. It hits really hard." That pretty much sums up how good I think this series is.

I had a good cry. I love the part where Mirabel was given the door knob of the main door. It was so symbolic. That symbolic door knob alone is the story of Mirabel's journey and her quest to have a place in her familia.

Sloppy acting. Delivery of line is so meh. The story is so-so.

Considering it underwent different animation studios, different animation quality was understandable. The gory animation was enough to make you twitch from disgust and secondhand-pain. It was faithful to the original source but for non-manga readers, the pacing and plot development was too fast and choppy which made plot twists and character developments trivial and unnoticeable. However, the portrayal of women in this series was more than empowering. It broke stereotype of women being powerless under men. Overall, along with its well-executed cliché vampire reference, this series was undeniably among the top of its kind.
