Like he has in most of the others books in this series, Alexander McCall Smith has put together a tale full of very creative problems and resolutions, and as always very funny and full of love! What a master of characterizations he is!

I really like this book! Unlike some of the Amish books I've read, it's realistic and honors the character and beliefs of the Amish. Although there are a variety of personalities, you come away feeling like there are mostly sincere, kind and good people among the Amish. Plus it's a good love story and a pretty setting.

I really like it, although I could wish for a different male lead. The plot is interesting, not too grim or gross. I would like fewer gay elements in the plots, but the actor that plays the assistant adds a lot of humor and lightheartedness to the episodes.
