If I had to describe the show in one word it would be inconsistent. The show itself is good but suffers for WAY too many inconsistencies in not only the tone of the show but especially the characters Spoilers below I think the best part of any of the episodes is when they kill off Alyssa drake tbh I’ve never seen such a horrible character that’s supposed to be a loved main character before. She’s always contradicting her own character traits and her actions never make sense. It’s almost like they just make her do whatever will cause the most drama without thinking about the actual character and her development. It was excruciating to watch her complain about her and Jack not being on the same side but when they finally are she OUT OF NOWHERE decides to be completely loyal to someone else?!? Because her magic is of? Makes no sense at all besides to cause the most drama possible for the show. Her actions aren’t justified and it’s so hard to watch a show about a character that’s super inconsistent. There’s also quite a few random plot holes that never get explained, like where the vati macum actually went and why Vera kept it to begin with. And so many more Besides that the show is actually pretty cool and I like a lot of the aspects of it

The entire time I was watching this I kept thinking.... and she’s so sad bec she’s tall...? An entire movie based on a girl who’s tall and cries about it? There are people who are dying, bullied, abused, starving. And they tried to make a heartfelt movie about a girl being tall? And they went about it horribly. It wasn’t about self discovery or learning to love herself. It was about her being tall and trying to date someone who’s tall. Basic characters, and I could guess the entire movie within the first 20 mins

I really liked the series but there were several things that really bothered me about and things that just made no sense. First off I never watched Winx club so there won’t be any comarasions between the two, or any biased thoughts. On regards to Terras character really bothers me how stereotypical it is. Like the bigger girl who is sweet and talks a lot is so basic. Stella at the beginning is super jealous and hates bloom and all of the other girls which is fine. But then she randomly becomes best friends with them after she breaks up with Sky? And there’s no tension at all. Makes no sense how she just flips a switch and isn’t jealous of Bloom and doesn’t hate the other girls for whatever reason she did at first Beatrix is just a poorly portrayed character. I mean Dane and Riven are crazy about her for no reason. She gets them into trouble but their excuse is that she’s different ? Makes no sense why they do all the things they do for her when it shows no bonding or moments of trust between them. Bloom is angsty and the typical “Im on my own” type of character from the beginning but then suddenly realizes that she has friends and trusts them %100 even though we hardly see any bonding between them at all. She also has no reason to not trust Sky at all. Her character just doesnt make sense most of the time. She’s trying to find answers and says she can’t trust anyone but puts all her trust into Rosland whom she’s never met and is imprisoned for reasons she doesn’t know. Her breaking out Beatrix makes no sense either headmistress quite literally told her that she would help her and would tell her everything then she breaks Beatrix out anyways? What really gets me is how inconsistent she is with trusting certain characters. And the strange tension she has with the headmistress. I think the biggest issue is with the dynamics of the friendship. They all didn’t like each other right away for no reason especially Musa and Terra. But then in the last few episodes they become great friends and trust each other so much even though it shows no bonding between them at all or any reason for the trust to begin with. Spoilers Below The end where bloom tells her parents about her powers really gets me about how its portrayed. Id like to see hear how they reacted. Its all so calm and emotional they don’t really seem freaked out at all. I mean bloom has freaking powers and almost burned down the house and they’re not really fazed? Im glad however that they didn’t do the typical disowning and disbelief but a bit more reaction would be nice. Lastly killing of headmistress at the end sucks. She is arguably one of the most liked characters in the entire show I really thing this show is good and head potential but the friendship aspect is really off

Wasted potential. The character development in the movies doesn’t even compare to the books. I also feel like their powers are portrayed in a mundane way in the movies. I could go back and forth between comparisons in the movie and book but I won’t because no movie is the exact same as the book. The only thing that did bother me was chubs being a green in the movies instead of blue. Which will be more complicated making that switch later on in the movies. These movies have A LOT of potential I can only hope they live up to them in the future
