I would have left halfway through the film had I not felt I would disturb others by leaving... although in hindsight I am not sure they would have been bothered. Nothing led me to think it was very well received. I found it boring and irritating so it seems pointless to compare it with the wonderful characterisation and drama in Dickens' writing. One or two actors made the best of it but most were unmemorable.
