A bit plodding, generally factually correct but some departures from history as well. Knowing the background to this significant period in Scottish history would help make some sense to a rather chaotic interpretation. A good cast and some particularly gory scenes. Most of the leading actors were scots and english, not sure why they gave the leading role to an american whose diction was poor. I dont see this production doing well at the box office although it will strike a chord with a scottish audience.
