I often find that critics judge comedies with a full black cast rather harshly. Marlon Wayans did a superb job. This was of Eddie Murphy caliber and he pulled it off. He turned down the launch factor tremendously for this one. I felt this gave us a glimspe into his personality as well as his own talented family. The storyline was consistent and his emotional journey to find his birth mother was funny and relateable. Each sibling that he finds has their own personality and you forget all about Marlon. Seriously, this was his best work and I feel it would've raked in a rather nice lump sum at the box office. Sextuplets is on my list with the Nutty Professer and Norbit. Whoever did the casting did a great job as well. Slaptick, laugh out loud, definitely for adults but not too edgy. Love it!
