I have only watched 8 episodes of the first season so far, and I have no regrets clicking on the "Mindhunter" title card and sitting through it.
As each episode goes on, we see a lot of insights uncovering in terms of FBI profiling, and it's a fascinating watch.
It's a welcome change to see Jonathan Groff, straight out of his musical turn in "Hamilton" and "Glee", and comedic turn in "Looking", in a different light and donning a different era of mindset, in his turn as FBI Special Agent Holden Ford, who is, for all intents and purposes, fresh out of being a rookie, and it's equally fascinating to see his co-stars Holt McCallany and Anna Torv as fellow FBI Special Agent Bill Tench and consultant Dr. Wendy Carr respectively. What's even more fascinating to see is how these insights into criminal profiling uncover little by little, with notorious names Chuck Manson, Ed Kemper, and few others as classifications rather than human names.
