It was fun to watch but honestly, the roasting was too safe for me. I would have liked to see more Pete or other professional comedians. Gabriel Iglesias was only in the credits which was a huge letdown after Kenan had announced that he'd be part of the main event. I think Netflix flopped the production on this one by setting our expectations too high and then giving us something else. This was more "a celebration of" with some light roasting mixed in. In fact, it would have been an awesome "a celebration of" if it were marketed that way.
I enjoyed looking at the wives more than whatever else was going on. Still giving it a 4 star because it was wholesome and had funny moments. It was just a huge mislabeling with them calling it a "roast". In general, if you like the family banter you'll enjoy it.
