My husband and I saw the stage musical Cats in the first week of performance and loved it. We also enjoyed the film which showed how far CGI and human beings/cats could merge, similar to Avatar which was even more extreme. We were amazed at the majority of critics' negative reviews of the film which took the show to a new level from the plain words in TS Eliot's poem. Other block busters like 'Bohemian Rhapsody'; 'The Shining' & 'The Wizard of Oz' were all panned by critics when they first came out. We hope that audiences who watch the film will prove the critics wrong again.

Very moving, thoughtful performance by Jim Broadbent with realistic evidence of the LONG walk he undertook although it seems a rather unlikely epic journey.

Quite disappointed since there was not really anything 'new' in the long awaited sequel after 10 years. The story line is complex and confusing, I was unable to identify with any of the main characters or empathise with their situation. I would not be interested in Avatar 3 sadly.

really enjoyed all the Cormoran Strike series very much, especially he interaction between Tom Burke and Holliday Granger when they tried to solve various puzzling cases.

Fantastic film with excellent acting, academy award to Casey Affleck well deserved

This is the best film adaptation of a Shakespearean play I have watched for a long time. It serves as a landmark in making an indelible impression of a perfect union between one of Shakespeare's great plays as well as the total immersive experience of the haunting but also menacing music score, sound effects, cinematography & wonderful set design, admiring each scene of black/white/light/darkness which enhances the acting. The most memorable Shakespearean plays I have seen in the theatres were Peter Brook's 1970 Midsummer Night's Dream in the RSC with actors on trapezes which I still remember vividly 50 years later. The only other memorable stage play was the 2016 RSC Simon Godwin's Hamlet with Paapa Essiedu in Stratford.

Very realistic depiction of various clues the pathologists could discover from dead bodies of different ages. Excellent forensic background to the mystery of finding out causes of death from painstaking following the scientific markers.

Fantastic portrayal of the realities of trench warfare in WW1 seldom seen in cinema, no doubt due to the continuously one shot technique, following the messengers all the way in their struggle to deliver their crucial instructions to stop the attack. I have never seen a warning before the film about 'graphic injuries' before and there were plenty of rotting corpses in the battlefield. It depicted the dogged determination of young soldiers following orders very vividly in such extraordinary circumstances where life and death were a matter of chance/fate.
