The Defiant Mind. By Ron Smith
Reading the “Defiant Mind”, by Ron Smith very soon after my stroke in Jan. 2021, made me say, “Right on, Ron”. Every page revealed just what I had experienced at Nanaimo General Hospital, down to one of the same ward rooms and some of the hard working staff there.
My wife,Irene, and I read it together, as I kept saying “Yes, that’s true”
Written in such a personal style that you laugh and cry almost at the same time.
COVID-19 has made it even more difficult for everyone at the hospital, both staff and patient.
