Great show. I've never "reviewed" a show on Google but after reading some I felt I should chime in.
The show's sitcom portion is intentionally over the top and not funny. It's making fun of bad sitcoms. I'm not sure why people are complaining that it isn't funny when that's the point. However, the sitcom portions are usually short and we spend most of the show in the "real" world.
Allison and Patty are great characters and the acting is excellent. The sitcom crew are great at being cringey, which they're supposed to.
If you watch, which I'd highly recommend, realize the sitcom portions are not supposed to be funny. They're meant to reel you in to Allison's perspective and frustrations while simultaneously shi***ng on bad sitcoms we've had in the past. I think it's brilliant.
