The movie itself is overall okay, however this cannot compare to the first movie in a deep understanding. This movie is mainly about perseverance, everybody thought she was useless so by hard work she proved everyone wrong (in the first movie), whereas in the adaptation, her purpose is completely misunderstood and took as a “girl power” sort of thing, which is not wrong, however this is taken on a surface level, she has that chi she’s been hiding and she uses it with no hard work whatsoever, when in the first movie she has no talents and strives for greatness only for the sake of her family, the people who she’s been trying to honor since the start of the movie.
