I enjoy watching the Property Brothers but one thing I find disturbing is the wastefulness. Cupboards in good condition but lacking in the current trend are smashed and thrown out. When renovating our own kitchen years ago, we gave our oak cupboards to a friend for his cabin rather than tossing them into the landfill. I realize removing the cupboards is more time consuming than smashing and tearing them out but it is far more environmentally friendly to repurpose. Even a small amount of repurposing would be better than throwing out everything.
