This movie was like a heavyweight championship fight, and to paraphrase the comedian Tony Baker, "I felt every piece" of it. I was rung out like a grandmother's dishrag when the credits pulled up. Zendaya might be 100 pounds soaking wet (and she was for a good while in this film), but she BROUGHT IT, as did John David Washington. Props to the writer-director Sam Levinson. This dialogue was so well written that I had to marvel at it at times. He adds in there the very subtle ways men and women hear and see things. How words affect us differently, some truly deep stuff. There are plenty of people who will just watch this film and think "it's just about an argument", but when you appreciate what it's REALLY ABOUT and what had to go into making it work and REAL, you realize that this isn't just a movie, it's a work of art. A profound work of art.
