Anara Brinmere

Marcia Gay Harden has shown up in numerous movies I've watches over time, but I never previously knew her to be a comic genius. I absolutely loved her and the nemesis w' whom she forms an unlikely friendship. This younger gal was super as a pairing w/ Marcia. This movie is full of twists so it's not a good idea to head to the kitchen & miss something that will leave you w/ questions. There are enough of these already.

Unlike any movie you'll ever see, Songcatcher (filmed in the mountains around my home in Asheville, NC, while not being explicitly true to details, gives an historic view of how folk song from Western Europe (esp, England, Ireland & Scotland) came to the East, from which it eventually spread across the country. We who love these kinds of songs---if not necessary the old way of singing them entirely (some, from round-abouts still carry tinges of the old, esp. in guitar, banjo & fiddle and are hugely popular. The beauty of our area should captivate you. The story absolutely should. And of course, Janet McTeer is brilliant in anything she does. Aiden Quin does a great job (as always) & is the man-candy for us ladies.
