I had high hopes in returning to the theater after being gone for about 18 months. Well, I should’ve stayed home. The only interesting parts in this movie were unfortunately those one-liners found in the trailer. (Don’t you just hate that?) The actors were not believable and the one-liners, while designed to be funny, were a bit “on the nose” and expected. I have always loved Jane Curtin, but she, along with the other cast members, just seemed to be going through the motions for this movie. Another disappointing performance was by James Caan, who I’ve always liked as an actor, but again, it seemed like the actors were just reading cue cards held by somebody off-camera. Bad, bad acting. The story line was old and worn out, and I could see the movie unfolding within the first two minutes it started. This movie was a terrible disappointment. Hopefully the next time I watch a movie with star-studded Hollywood actors and actresses, I will enjoy it a lot more. Save your money…the best part of this movie was the popcorn that I purchased at the concession stand.

I couldn’t wait to see this movie as it has such a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The first half of the movie is interesting, but to be honest, I was never quite sure where the movie was going. There was some dark comedy in that first half, but the second half seem to unravel with no plot. Terribly boring. And speaking of endings, I was completely confused about that. I didn’t understand why the movie ended the way it did with a collage of rabbits. I would’ve liked to have understood where the movie was headed because they’re didn’t seem to be a progression towards an ending. (Dare I say there was no climax? LOL) It was a decent movie, but had I known what it was like before I went, I probably would’ve saved my money and gone to another movie instead. The actors play very strong characters and the visuals are breathtaking, but to me, the movie was flat. I left the theater thinking, “What the heck was that?”

Wow. It has been a long time since I walked out of a theater before the movie was over. However, about 35 minutes into this movie, I couldn’t take it anymore. Honestly, Jennifer Lopez is an amazing singer and performer, but she needs to stay out of acting and producing. This movie is more of a pet project for her where she cast herself as the lead character. The movie is incredibly boring, falls flat and has plot holes everywhere. I did hear a couple of giggles in the theater with some of the lines, but to be honest, the whole scene where they dance around the kitchen to “Push It” is just sad and ridiculous. And the little kid who curses isn’t funny...it’s just dumb. Jennifer Lopez has a one dimensional character and the story is totally predictable. Or, at least I think it was, but I didn’t stick around to find out. This was a complete waste of my time and one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Please, I beg of you, don’t waste your time. Horrible, horrible movie. J Lo, do us all a favor and stick to singing and dancing.
