A documentary should be done on the main witness; explaining the consequences of the community pressure and the burden to tell the truth. She's a true SHERO. Hope she has sought therapy after all the harassment she endured, from both sides. I hope her children and family are well, and hope she remains sober. I'm sorry she's not been able to return to her childhood home. Ever again. That's painful. And to the young man who committed the crime: the system failed him. Systemic racism has real life direct consequences. I am also sorry he was neglected as a child. Glad he has continued to work on himself: be kind to yourself, self-forgiveness is a life long process. I cannot imagine how much strength it takes to not be resentful or bitter given the cards life has dealt you from childhood. You are stronger than most. Love and light your way.
