Enjoyable movie. Emma Thompson brilliantly funny. Lovely locations. The film just zipped along. The storyline was a bit far fetched, but who cares because the whole encapsulated a feel good factor Glad we watched and so good to view a British film for once. Pierce Brosnan was his usual charming self. Yes, would recommend viewing for a few giggles worth of fun.

Not quite as atmospheric as the original film but still very watchable. Best actress award should go to Kristen Scott Thomas who was unnerving as the housekeeper, Mrs.Danvers Loved the Monte Carlo scenes in stark contract to the gloominess of Manderlay. For a rich man, one was left wondering why Maxim wore the same garish yellow suit for most first scenes and yet his soon to be wife had more different outfits than a debutante. Mrs. Danvers didn't go up in flames, after she had committed arson at Manderlay: she jumped off a cliff in this remake. No witnesses to the fact, except the new Mrs De Winters, so was she pushed or did she jump scenario springs to mind. Daphne Du Maurier was an amazing writer. The plot deserved to be kept to the original and not altered on a whimsical thought by the movie makers.

Enjoyed 'Yesterday' immensely. As a baby boomer and great Beatles fan, I remember the Beatlemania age so well. It was great to hear the songs again and the movie flowed nicely. John Lennin living to 78 was a nice touch too. Good one.

Carey Mulligan who played the part of Mrs Pretty in The Dig film is in her early thirties and blonde The real Mrs Pretty was in her 60s when the Sutton Hoo dig became famous through its findings. That's the movie world for you. The part of Basil Brown was played brilliantly by Ralph Fiennes Plot was a tad slow to start with but overall an enjoyable film. The styling was spot on for circa 1939 and the Suffolk scenery gorgeous

Absolutely loved this movie. It was a joy to watch from start to finish.No violence no special effects no stupid false breasted bimbos. The message was clear Mark 11.23 from the Bible
