This is a typical SKY type of show. Very British, very slow, with subpar acting. The VFX makeup for Redmayne wasn't close to good. The beauty makeup was even worse (Actors were super shiny in scenes with matte costars). Redmayne tried to carry the show but he wasn't in every scene (which made me miss his caliber of acting when he was gone). Honestly, it reminded me of the old show 'Spooks' in a sad way.

Every time they break into song, that cruddy track comes on and I have to adjust the volume on the tv... They act like it's in a theatre and not a show. Maybe it'll get better, but not hopeful with what I've seen so far.

Great show! Reminds a little of Fargo (more the film than the show), but still fresh and original. A bit of dark humor sprinkled in the first few episodes, though it looks like there may also be a conspiracy caper along the way. Doing my best not to spoil anything in this review, so I'll just say "give the whisky ep a watch". I laughed out loud at one point (that's not my norm btw).
Oh, there is one thing: Definitely not for super PC folks ;)
