Poor take off of Madam Secretary. Loved madam Secretary. It was drama thrilling believing and something my kids could even watch. This however? The F word in almost every conversation sometimes multiple, poor acting of prime minister, and they even try to have similar characters (personalities) of those in Madam Secretary. My advice? Take it off the air and bring back Madam Secretary. It was more believable, better acting from all characters, and for most part it was clean enough for the entire family to watch. Even purchased the set. This show? Won’t even watch second season. Thumbs down except for the “ambassador” although I’d like her to comb her hair and wash her face and stop wasting good acting on a show not worthy of her.

I have heard so much backlash and negativity from Christians that I was hesitant on seeing the film. Some even stated the book portrayed Angel as a beautiful person and the actress was not that pretty. Well, here’s my opinion as a mother of 12 children ranging from 13-38. 1st- the actress playing Angel is beautiful. She has a natural beauty as well as make up beauty. She is gorgeous so to the person who states that in another review elsewhere you were just being nasty. Uncalled for. 2nd the movie follows the book which was great. 3rd- actresses and actors did an amazing job!! 4th- there was no nudity. The camera was waist up when there was a nude scene and her long hair covered her breasts. There was no full breasts or buttocks ever shown. 5th- yes, they show Angel and Michael making love but they were FULLY CLOTHED! and for those who say it was not necessary? It’s a movie about a prostitute! And it shows how when she was a prostitute she numbed herself and became emotionless. Then it showed emotion when she was loved and love was involved. As I have taught my children from a very young age, there is a difference between having sex and making love. And this movie shows this and was done in good taste. As a woman who was molested as a child and raped as a woman and a mother of a teen who was caught up with a sex predator in the neighborhood, I recommend this movie for youth groups ages 16 and up with parental permission of course. I think parents need a wake up call to what our children go through as the common age of sex now is 12 years old. As a strong Christian I have done all I can to protect my children but one still was misled. Children who are not exposed need to watch this as well so they understand women and teens do not choose to be a prostitute. This movie may be difficult for someone who has gone through sexual abuse but I still say watch it as it has a strong message for you! It’s a beautiful message. And the movie was done as it needed to be. I’d say those who are being so critical are religious and not spiritual and have not ever experienced such trauma or pain. Thank God you haven’t. But let’s not tear apart a movie you may not understand the makings of based on your life experience and stop another person from receiving a much needed message in their life.
