Juliet “LotsOfLove”

I avoided this for a few months as i knew this would be dark and dark it was! However it is well worth the watch. Haven't watched many Stephen Gratham pieces but i know he is very talented which one can see in this harrowing drama. For me this served as a reminder why some unfortunate folks turn to alcohol drugs etc trying to desperatley escape their demons stemming from their traumatic childhood experiences. Stephen plays his character very well: ordinary bloke trying to get on with his adult life maintaining a relationship with his son untill a trigger blows any chance of that. This excellent drama serves as a reminder for us try to have an open mind when it comes to addiction and seemingly destructive lifestyles. Dont worry there are some moments of humour especially from the kids. Unlike some others i did not have a problem with the sound at all.

I only caught 3 quarters of this film as I missed the beginning. I was surprised that this absorbing film recieved bad reviews from the likes of Empire (and i usually trust them). I thought this was heartbreaking and intense. Loved Bruce's character and the rest of his crew. It served as a painful reminder of the evil doing unspeakable things to innocent people. Yes it may not be perfect but i think it captures the fear and desperation people in conflict zones go through at the hands of brutal tyrants .
