I had high hopes for this movie when I saw the trailer. And I went to go see it solely off that one trailer. But man right off the bat, there were elements that made this movie hard to stick around for in its entirety. The main character lacked charisma that would allow us to connect with him. The friendship between the four main kids just lacked chemistry. You knew what type of group of friends they were aiming for, but they missed the mark. The acting from other kids did not reach the standard. It felt like it was written did sci fi channel movie. The dialogue was delivered through weird angle shots that hindered the moment of the scene. It felt a bit like Goonies, Sandlot, and Goosebumps all mixed there, which under the right director and cast, would have been amazing. The ending was good for most part, the witch felt scary, but the kids did not deliver a believable performance. There were scenes that had really good cinematography and felt like a different director had taken over. Other elements like the vehicle the witch used were really good! I felt more performance from the vehicle because of the camera angles, music, lighting, etc. over all, I was disappointed but I guess they tried their best.

So upset the critics gave it such a low review. They are honestly the cause of why the movie had a low turn out. People need to watch movies for themselves. The Lone Ranger is exciting, moving, and had a great soundtrack. Don't listen to the critics, or even me, watch it for yourself!

I wasn't so sure of the movie because of the ratings, but boy I'm glad I gave it a chance. At first I'm like, okay, this seems like a nice disney musical. But happy way through, wow, wasn't expecting it to go a direction that Disney doesn't go too often. I think it shows that even though life is not a happily ever after, or black and white, we can still make the best of it and keep on going.

Every time I watch it, it helps remind me how much more of life there is to experience outside of our daily routines and cities.
