I am a practicing physician in Internal Medicine here in Cebu City Philippines. The show depicts the human side of us doctors in the midst of our every day struggle in treating our patients, to heal them and give them the best quality of life. We share the joy of successful surgeries and treatments and the frustrations of the illnesses that is way beyond our control. The actors are superb. Ryan Eggold is very good. I saw him in The Blacklist and he is what he portrays in his role. My partner who is not a physician liked New Amsterdam so much. Hoping season 3 will soon be shown in our country.
