This is an amazing book with a lot of material to go see. One of the carracters I had personal knowledge about was OD Stevens house. Somewhere in the 1990s I rewired that rock house and am the one that discovered the space under the stairwell into the basement. Then you had to remove a board serving as a step. my uncle , a carpenter is the one that fixed it where it was hinged for entry for people using the house for an office. The walls were 18 inches of rock.
