I've never seen the musical, which is maybe the reason for not being overimpressed. To be honest I got bored, it was far too long. I wish I'd waited to see it on television. It just didn't grab me.

Just finished reading 'The Thursday Murder Club'. I think it would be a good to listen to as an audio book, maybe even better than for reading. The characters are very likable and I think it will transfer really well to a film. I don't want to say too much if people haven't read or listened to it yet. It wasn't an addictive page turner for me, more like a read for getting cosy with a brew, if you know what I mean. I wouldn't describe it as 'laugh out loud funny', more mildly amusing with some interesting plot twists. I'll be interested to see who they get to play the characters when it's made into a film, I reckon that they will be able to do a lot with that. I hope you enjoy reading it, I'm glad I read it but reckon I'll enjoy the eventual film more.
