Hypnotic, powerful, great acting. What's not to like. Hope there is a 3rd series

Oh dear, what a load of tripe, easily in the top 10 worst films I have ever watched. Literally felt myself dropping off at times, such was the slowness of it. And the constant thumping music even when there was nothing happening. Wasted 2 hours of my life and would have given it no stars if I could have.

A Christmas cracker, if you don't enjoy this film you need checking out. Sit back and immerse yourself in what will be an essential watch every Christmas. Feels like a 1960s musical with modern day cinematography and special effects. Whatever your age, you will love it.

Awful, reminds me of the Saint with Ian Ogilvy back in the day. Gave up with 30 minutes remaining of episode 1, left the wife to watch it to the end. Fox is badly miscast, the storyline is corny, just rubbish overall, only saving grace is the scenery.

Very enjoyable and educational, but unlike Dunkirk where a thunderous soundtrack was appropriate to a war film and added to its impact, this was overdone immensely and actually detracted from the quality of the production. However, Murphy is excellent in an understated and riveting performance.

Series 2 generally watchable, but massive error in episode 3 when the three soldiers, including a German, got stranded in the North African desert after their jeep had run out of fuel, they had to walk back to camp, looking dead on their feet at the end of it, so assume it was a few days, but they were all clean shaven. Had to laugh at that.

Seen this film numerous times, even bought a book about William Wallace I was so enraptured by it, and it's musical score. Watched it again today, and even though it still moves me, there is one obvious drawback, and that is Gibsons performance. Massively overacts, and some of his facial expressions are plain embarrassing. Should have taken a page out of Patrick McGoohans book, less is more
