This is the most sophisticated Horror Film ever made. It's an outrageous comedy but every line in it is played straight. It's far better than Murnau's original Nosferatu 1922 but couldn't exist without the original as a model to play off of. Nicholas Cage and his fellow producer deserve a hand. Bram Stoker, Bela Lugosi and Udo Kier all bring shades of understanding to the film.

Its about the words, gentlemen. A very satisfying screenplay. I've had the film since May and didn't get around to looking at it untl today (9/13/2019). The words written in the film are extraordinary. We journeyed within the Oxford English Dictionary, the O.E.D., and it was well worth the trip. Captions by Explosive Skull.
