Brilliant film, complex, dark, in depth. So many unexpected twists, loved it. Music was amazing. Deepika great as usual, Ananya Pandey was brilliant, just perfect in her role. Sid Chaturvedi was the weak point, looks kind of dumb to be the tormented yet smart business savvy treacherous character he portrayed, he doesn't have the experience or maturity or skills to play such a complex crucial role. l think someone like Farhan Akhtar or Randeep Hooda would have been more suitable in that role. Otherwise a great film, best Bollywood movie l saw in a long time, five stars. Most indian audience do not have the sophistication to appreciate this film, they are obsessed with condemning the 'adultery' part, over focused on the love scenes. Thats not what the film is about though. Its just a backdrop for the plot. The characters are so real and relatable. Definitely recommend.

Don't let critical reviews mislead you. This is a fantastic movie, engaging and enjoyable to watch. A must see! Do not miss it. And l don't even like Dev Patel, but he did well here. Much better slumdog in my opinion

One of the best contemporary movies made on this subject of the Samurai. Moving, engaging, even spiritual ly profound at times. While Tom Cruise is great as usual, it is Ken Watanabe's performance that takes this film to another level. A must watch.

Cringeworthy performance by lead actress. Cringeworthy direction. She was a patents businesswoman for godssakes not an oil baron! Argh awful
