This movie's scenes are disturbing, maddening, disgusting, wierd, unexpected, horrifying, brutal, calm, quiet, mysterious, and nostalgic. Every scene is a visual masterpiece even though it can be gut wrenching. Definitely NOT FOR KIDS.
This movie brings back nostalgia on stop motion and claymation material. It makes you feel warm but inside a nightmare. Im glad these techniques can still hold their own unique style really strong in modern film making.
Im also relieved that it didn't present me it's story at all on what its about. Its was a ride through stunning visuals left for you to interpret what you see and connect the dots and conclude you're own philophical interpretation. You're not spoon fed a plot or character arc which is rare.
