Great 90s nostalgia mixed with all the usual hallmarks of a coming of age drama but with a neo noir lens at night and sun drenched days culminating in a darker than expected cruchendo. The soundtrack is great and sets the tone perfectly. Quite an underrated movie by all accounts and well worth watching to make your own mind up. A solid effort from a first time director, really. Hope he makes it off the black lists and we get to see how he evolves.
