yes think show is messy. shallow. confusing. just when you start applauding a character they disappoint you....etc. which is what makes it a really good show in my opinion. unlike other teen movies that deal with issues of self-acceptance, bullying, body issues the characters aren't one dimensional. they are real teenagers and people in general. Flawed but redeemable at the same time. I think this show is refreshing compared to others in this genre.
