Much better insight into the family and their struggles. While some do not like the light skinned latina playing the lead, I think she’s doing a great job as well as the whole cast. Having seen Selena live at dance halls and clubs in South Texas(raised in 77901)I’ll never forget her shows. I also love how they get the accent we Tejanos have better than I’ve seen in other movies about Texas. It’s a subtle southern drawl only on some words not all, and we definitely do not have Spanish accents. Oh yeah we also are bad at Spanish since lots of us been here for over 5 generations. Not proud of not knowing Spanish but it’s just a fact. Now I just need to see a Whataburger and I’ll know they must’ve hired a real Texan to consult. Lol. Cant wait for season 2.
