This film was disappointing and ridiculous. Somebody should have stepped in on the script, or stepped on it to be truthful. I'm usually not one to watch comic themed films but hey I was desperate to watch something, anything to break up my post Christmas pandemic boredom. Reading some of the other reviews I'm concerned how my fellow citizens could possibly be so easily entertained. I was thinking to myself how Chris Pine reacted to the scrip when he first read it. I mean, did he think, oh I got to do this? That scenario is hard to believe. I'm not familiar with the director or the other two folks who co-wrote it. Non the less I felt a sort of embarrassment for them as I'm sure this won't go down to well for the future. Truth is I watched the first one and it had a sort of timeless charm, this one was forced upon the masses!
