This movie is hurtful to people with Autism. Not only does Sia cast a non autistic actor to play the lead role, the way the character is portrayed seems like a mockery towards people with the disability. Sia has addressed the topic and has apologized for who she may offended but stands by her casting decision and says she is not sorry that she casted who she did.
