I think the book deserved a Pulitzer and the TV series diverted way too much from the book. In the series, we spend way too much time on Ridgeway for no good reason. It’s not his story, it’s Cora’s. I hate it when screenwriters embellish a really good story because they think they can improve the story. They can’t and they didn’t. The cast was excellent and so was the cinematography. It was just the screenwriting I objected to.
