Straining Forward is an extremely well written book We found it a really hard book to put down. I thought i knew what the Vietnam war was like for locals but i really had no idea. this book will open your eyes to the suffering and struggles of someone who was a child during the war and what happened when she escaped. It will also show you the strength she gained from God in the midst of turmoil and how she grew in her relationship with him.
