Enid Hopkins

This film brought tears to my eyes, magnified the knot in my throat and sunk my emotions into a dark place. I appreciate the multiple vantage points on the same story, all the different stories represented, the intelligent script, the heart wrenching acting and the brutal honesty this film presents. Every high school English class in America should be dismantling, examining and discussing this film. At our worst, we must begin to understand and accept our differences and beyond that- the role we each play in this tragedy we live. This is an incredible piece of work that will be around for a very long time. It marks this season in the American existence. I walked away from it in tears, motivated to worker harder doing my part to fix our brokenness. -A Black Mother
