A flawed masterpiece, but a masterpiece nonetheless. Lags at sections, excels in others. Painful tone compared to the youthful first game, but realistic in its brutality. Overall, I could have been more satisfied if the story went in a different direction, but the entire package was a risk and I appreciate the attempt. The world is fully developed and the story doesn’t need to be perfect to experience a sense of awe while playing this gem.
