So, so, brilliantly done. I really shower all my love for Six Flying Dragons, because, well, it slays. Being Korean, I just feel so proud of this drama in all of its excellency in terms of the well written plot, acting from veteran actors (supported by the equally talented supporting/newer actor/actress cast), gorgeous cinematography in lush locations, well-fitted clothes with accurate volume in ones that need it, props, the goddAMN well choreographed ACTION SEQUENCES, ost, all of it. I truly just fall into it every time; absolutely the best historical kdrama I’ve ever seen, no question about it. I had high expectations when it aired due to Tree, but SFD delivered. So much depth and meaning about humanity in this one, and it even contains surprisingly several historically accurate themes and even re-imagined real scenes with spectacular interpretations and delivery like the 하여가-단심가 scene with LBW and JMJ, which made my breath catch in my throat, and I cry every time I watch Episode 47. I simply can’t get enough of this one, and would watch it (and yes, I DO watch it) countless times just to relive the exhilarating experience, even though it leaves me emotionally drained, heartbroken, and in a numb kind of awe all at once. Epic!

I have seen many medical K-dramas in my life, but none of them are as good as this one. Without a doubt, this is one of the best all around. The plot is entertaining and strong; it doesn’t have too many complications or goes too fast. Even in moments of the story where scenes go by quickly, it is all for a reason and it makes sense in the end. The characters are cleverly made, and so likeable (or unlikeable). Each have their flaws and different qualities, but overall they are all amazing. I think the greatest part that led to such a wonderful result is the actors. Leads Han Suk Kyu, Yoo Yeonseok, and Seo Hyun Jin delivered their characters brilliantly, and all supporting actors and actresses did their parts with just as much professionalism. The main couple’s chemistry was phenomenal! Each episode was so satisfying to watch, getting the right time to connect with the characters and grow to love them more and more. The cinematography was beautifully done as well, especially for the kiss scenes (♡). Another important aspect of a medical drama are the surgery scenes, and they were wonderfully done. It wasn’t boring or too showy or unrealistic. Even after saying all this, I still can’t express the affection I have for this drama. This drama definitely deserves a long review and lots of love. It’s perfect to binge-watch and will never bore anyone, no matter how many times they watch it. Highly, highly recommended!

This drama is a brilliantly made film. Despite being fairly short compared to regular K-dramas, this drama delivers so much emotion to viewers. The heartbreaking love story of the two leads is perfectly portrayed by the wonderful actor/actress, Lee Jong Suk and Shin Hye Sun. I was completely blown away with how expressive these two actors were, and truly they performed far better than what I had expected from them, which was very high, given that both are very well-known and have been acknowledged as star quality actors. I cried many times, and was truly able to empahize with the two. The setting was also historically accurate, as was the plot. Because it is based off of a true story, the drama is all the more enjoyable and heartfelt to watch. The chemistry between the leads only made the story sadder, but in a good way. The cinematography is also on point, with the pleasing colors and lighting tones. Above all, the OST is gold. The songs are all sung by talented singers and are placed in very appropriate scenes. There is truly no particular flaw-- the story, the actors, the music, the set, everything-- highly, highly recommended!

This drama is incredible. The cast, the plot, the music, the CG, the props, outfits, set, everything. I love the depth of each character and their struggle to survive and protect their power. Arthdal Chronicles really shows new style of historical dramas, combining so many different cultures and incorporating so many aspects of different coutries. The background can be a bit confusing, but it's very easy to follow after a couple episodes. Moreover, the actors are some of the best around. This is a quality drama, and I highly recommend it.
