I was an avid SATC viewer so I was really thrilled when I heard they were doing a reboot. In fact I rewatched all six seasons and both movies before tuning in to the new show. What a disappointment! I got up to the sixth episode and I couldn’t take anymore. It looked to me like they wrote down every woke happening since the series ended and decided to put everything in the reboot. It was political correctness overload! It would have been fine if they had picked one or two new social situations, but addressing them all at once was too much. I wanted to watch a lighthearted show like before; not be taught social consciousness in every scene. It’s too bad because the writers could have used a much lighter touch instead of cramming it in our faces and we still would have learned about the issues without feeling like we were all attending “woke issues 101”
