Mark Weeks

I'll watch it all, more than once no doubt but I think they've really lost their way with this one. A lot of rules and history has been thrown under the bus, which will upset many of the hard core trekkies. For me it's a lot of little things e.g. in season 4 where they keep setting off those flames on the bridge all the time. They are in the same location and at the same height and the flame gives the same effect every time. It's uncharacteristically sloppy/lazy work. Also they have gone way overboard on trying to portray everyone's mental state and deal with the whole touchy feely side of some of the relationships, it seems to take up the majority of the story lines now rather than the usual pursuit of meeting new civilisations and having unusual interactions with them. This is supposed to be about the elite, federation trained, star ship crew, not a bunch of well meaning folk with issues from the 20th century. Hopefully someone will correct all the mistakes and this will all be just a dream, or such like, maybe a storyline made up by some relation of Spock's as a child and we see the parent showing him the illogical errors of his writings in Season 5 :-)
