Trigger Warning: Mental Health
I really wish I had started listening to P!nk like I do now when she first came out back in the late 90s/early 2000s. However, I swear, she has gotten better with age. Her songs are so powerful, and "Perfect" has been an especially important for me, as I went through some major trauma (resulting nearly attempting self harm and suicide, mental health hospitalization, and now a PTSD diagnoses), and I have had that song on my mental health playlist on my ipod. That song can be so hard for me to hear as I am not perfect, but my brain wants me to be, but man.....I NEED to hear those words "You are perfect.....to me..."
Strangely enough, I feel like I have become a bigger fan of hers since my trauma.....like I have to pick myself up (with help), and grab life by the balls, and make my mark, as I too, am here.
So, short my review of this documentary is this, I totally recommend this if you are a fan of P!nk, and can with her her on what she believes in. I do feel like we were seeing the authentic side of her and her family, which just makes her so much more badass. She seems very genuine in what she is doing, and wants to accomplish, and this documentary shows that. Someday, I hope to be lucky enough to be able to see her in concert.
