This movie lacked so many key aspects to a good horror movie. There was not much suspense if at all, the "jump scares" had barely any build up to make them actually scary, the director's choices were questionable, most of the actors didn't stand out with their performances, etc. The movie felt short but really long at the same time in the sense that the pacing was off plus the movie was also more on the boring side. The script itself wasn't complex in the least and the fact that it turned to relationship drama as one of the main conflicts within the plot nonetheless proves that this didn't live up to the standards of a good horror film. Even from slight bias, I will say Jeremy Allan White was probably the only actor who gives a note worthy performance even with the doubtful script. The ending seemingly sets up for a second movie but I'm not sure it would be worth it after how underwhelming this was.
