It's a film for the ages... Absolutely blown away by the film, the performances, the messaging... Everything. It's a film that will make you think, for sure. You can agree/disagree with parts/whole of it or not, but it's a film which will be a conversation starter abiut where we as humans fit into the larger scheme of things, what is the right or wrong way to bring up your children, the role of instutionalised education, whether we seek true knowledge or bookish, theoretical knowledge, among other topics broached in the film... A must watch for those who don't necessarily align with the pre-defined, sheep-mentality kind of way of life... Think, seek and question.

One of the ways to gauge a film is how it translates from script to screenplay to the final film. I had the good fortune to work on Thithi as the Chief Assistant Director. One of the first things I told Raam when I read the script was that I didn't think I'd get to work on a script as immersive and engaging as this. And, having watched the completed work, call me biased, but there's no doubt that this labour of love is a masterpiece that's done justice to the written word. Thithi is an experience. And you have to live it.

I'm surprised how this film got the ratings it did. Mediocre at best, but then we since we celebrate mediocrity, it's a 'good' film. With some highly reputed names -both, on and off the camera- attached to the film, it fails to deliver on multiple counts. I was literally counting the minutes and forcing myself to finish the film, hoping that, magically, my opinion of the film would change by the end. Alas, it didn't!

The IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes ratings do not do justice to this film. It leaves you numb in your gut when you watch such ruthlessness unleashed on innocent lives merely for the fact that they belonged to a race and culture different to that of the authoritarian, inhuman regime of that time. Every single revolution mattered in the progress of civilisation as we know of it today. This film is testimony to that. Breathtakingly shot, commendable acting by each character that appears on screen, the production design was top-notch and the editing and storytelling - superlative. A must-watch!

I tend to check the trailers and/or ratings (IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Roger Ebbert, Metacritic to name a few) of content to be informed about video content viewing experienced. Money Heist was one such TV series that received more than favourable ratings overall. However, to my dismay, from the first episode of the first season itself I realised that it wasn't going to be a very pleasurable viewing experience. Too many loopholes to name, terrible direction in several places, especially when it came to executing action scenes. On one hand they're trying to portray that the protagonist is so calculative in his moves, on the other hand while the heist is being executed, it feels like the clock just seizes to exist. Romance, love-making, long monologues all seem to take centre-stage when in reality they should be timing every decision of theirs. I was literally pulling my hair out in ezch episode, yet, for some reason, since I don't like leaving things unfinished, I managed to finish off the first heist in season 3 and just about started watching season 4. But after the first episode I realised that running a full marathon was far easier than sitting through trash content, which seem to have been marketed and packaged really well. If you're particular about watching good content and have seen exceptional films and web series in the past and are craving more of such good content, give this series a miss...

I think this film is highly underrated. It's a very well-made film without the trappings of a star-driven film, in spite of having one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Tom Cruise, playing the lead role. The indie treatment worked really well for the film, much like another wonderful ensemble film that comes to mind, The Big Short. Top-notch performances, production design, direction and ace cinematography makes this a must-watch film, if you love watching high-octane storytelling sans the frills.

Quite a disappointing film. Yet another film that panders to the fans of Mohan Lal... It felt like watching a Salman Khan film, only that it had Lal Ettan in it. Blame me for expecting quality cinema in this day and age where we believe content is king. Looks like we hav a long way to go for that. For as long as there are die-hard fans and hero worshippers, there are gonna be films and filmmakers playing to the gallery and making stylised films with little content. Yet again, the hero is someone who can single-handedly beat up weapon-wielding goons with his bare hands and make them fly as though they're made of thermocol. The worst bit had to be the terrible 'item song' towards the end? What on Earth was that never-ending saga? One good takeaway was DoP Sujith Vasudevan's camera work and interesting lighting that made the visuals stand out with interesting colour schemes and contrast. All in all, I'd say a decent-to-good-looking film.

It's a fabulous series. It was so engrossing that I couldn't get up from my seat till I'd devoured the entire series in a day. The writing is superlative, the way they've written the nuanced screenplay, ufffff.... What detailing! The casting was spot on, every character was cast to perfection. It takes great ability to find the right actors and by any stretch of imagination, it's no mean feat. The Cinematography stayed true to the story and gave a very unsettling feeling. And, the editing was of such high class, that you never noticed the cuts... The narrative, through all it's elements flowed like an uninterrupted river.
