Ishq begins with a romantic phone conversation b/w a couple. Don't let the scene fool you thinking the film is an usual feel-good love story! Unlike the films which boast the tagline saying 'it's not an usual love story' and present over-the-top misogynistic storylines, Ishq is believable and sensible at most parts. Certain scenes in Ishq are potential debate topics! Spoiler ahead! At a few parts, to be precise, the interval block which makes a crux of the story results from the actress' perspective over the actor's concern over her safety! Barring some insensitivity-driven scenes, the film is enthralling till the climax! Little did I know the film would advocate some half-baked feminist thing at the end! Watch it for its core idea, which is highly appreciable, and its engrossing screenplay!

Ormayil Oru Shishiram is like that path, which we take often, but overlook the beautiful things it does have. In other words, this is a film that you know what's gonna happen next yet you'll want to watch it! Beautifully shot, the film is visually pleasing! The background score is adequate. The performances from the leads and the neat, matured narration stroke the film to a worth-a-watch category. The nostalgia-filled treat!

Not often do we see a Hindi movie being remade in south India, nowadays. The Tamil version of Vicky Donor, Dharala Prabhu marks a fresh concept in Kollywood! Takes a little time to settle, Dharala Prabhu will be a fairly engaging watch, thanks to the great chemistry b/w Vivek sir and Harish Kalyan. The character arch of Vivek sir is praiseworthy. The way his character deals with humiliations, which it faces from its nature of work, was well-written. Apart from the last 20 mins, the movie keeps you engaged. Of all songs in the album, Unnal Penne by Inno Genga is catchy! Had they presented the pre-climax portions a little engaging and the music been good throughout, the film would have been a great watch!
