It always amazes me the difference between critic reviews and the paying public reviews, which is why I always take what critics say with “a grain of salt”. Peppermint reviews were vastly negative by critics and vastly positive by the general public, including me. If a justice-seeking, strong, badass woman (Garner) can make me cry at the end in the graveyard scene, the movie has told its story well, at least for me. And what idiot nominated Garner for Worst Actress Award for the movie? I thought her acting was stunning.
