I love this movie more every time I watch it. I’m not one to watch movies multiple times, but this one has become a favorite and I watch it every year around Christmas. The characters are complex and relatable, as represented by the different “types of love” people may experience. The storyline and dialog between characters is very creative. A touching moment, and one of my favorites is when Kate Winslet’s character is “relating” to Jack Black’s character in a moment of disappointment ...there’s a depth of understanding written into those words. I especially loved the characters played by Camron Diaz and Jude Law, and the surprising developments as their story unfolds (don’t want to give anything away) but another memorable and touching and favorite scene. All in all, a wonderful and entertaining movie, with a happy ending! My husband loves it too, so it’s not just a “chick flick” as some are saying.
