The Forty Rules of Love ~ Elif Shafak This book has a power to change your life even if you remember one percent of it. I saw this book as one the most popular feeds in the reading group. I had my reasons to scroll up past that & ignore it. Reasons were mundane & very much ordinary. Like with the title - it felt like a book on self help listicles '10 cents on love life' or 'Do and Dont for love' etc. But I am glad I was proven wrong! I had my reservations and I am happy to call them off after reading. Honestly I never would have bought the book. Someone lend the book to me when I had none to read while I was waiting for Amazon to deliver the shortlisted books. It was more of a rescue - Something to read over Nothing! But now I would like to keep a personal copy of the same. I am all happy that I went through the pages and narrations inside. I think it isn't the story, it is those 40 rules that live by your side in all glory, with every breath you take! This book rightly influences your outlook towards yourself while walking the path of life. Its a fiction yet it feels so real! One of a few life changing books in my journey. I will recommend it to all the generations here & the ones to come!
