As a retired nurse having had 6 (doctor attended) home births, I am mesmerized! Suggested this series to my grand daughter who is just beginning her education to become a PA midwife. She loves it. Born in Chicago in 1952, I have some memory of the ‘50’s in general. The relationships in the series are timeless and real. As I watch some of the young moms die, or loose babies, I realize how far medical science has come. Yet the safety and comfort of home birth can’t be beat!
